Dear Sir/Madam,

Lowdham Cricket Club is currently in the process of developing a youth team, this was to be our main goal last year but the devastating floods in Lowdham put a stop to that. Establishing a youth side will not only safe guard the future of our historic club, but encourage the young members of our community to take an interest in sports and culture.

We have already taken steps to ensure that local children are able to get good advice and coaching by gaining two more qualified coaches through training Lowdham Cricket Club members on recognised coarses.

One of our goals for the summer of 2008 is to hold 'free' coaching sessions for local Under 14's down at the cricket ground thoughout the summer holidays.

Our long term aim is to establish regular 'free' coaching for the children of the surrounding local schools and to put some permanent nets at the new Lowdham sports area. Unfortunately Cricket nets don't come cheap. £18,000 upwards, in fact. Not the kind of money that a small club like Lowdham has laying around. So every little helps!

We know that you, as a local business understand the needs of the local youngsters and we know that you would encourage the local children to take up an active, positive and rewarding hobby.

If you could see your way to sponsoring a match ball for £15 or indeed donating anything larger , your name or business will be placed with the other sponsors on our web site, and you could get a mention in the Lowdham Parish Magazine in recognition of supporting your local teams.

For a donation of £30 we are also able to put small banners on the front page of our web site. This is money well spent as the web site gets a lot of visitors. We are also open to ways in which you would like to sponsor us. So if you have an idea please let us know.
